GENERAL RULES
1. Rumba in the Jungle is Open to the World for ALL Dancers in the Rising Star – Championship Sections or the non-restricted syllabus, Pro-Am, Traditional and Belly Dance irrespective of their Affiliation.
2. Entries must be completed Online OR on the official Entry Form. The RITJ Online Platform URL / web address is www.rumbainthejungle.com.
3. SA Dancers may individually record their videos or will be directed to an accredited Studio / venue in South Africa where your digital entry will be recorded (all dances are in scope for the Dance Section, 90 seconds per dance).
Note:
- The accredited Studios are Covid-19 compliant.
- Dancers are to wear masks at all times and requested to practice safe social distancing
- Dancers will receive a Schedule for in Studio recording in advance.
- Please note that the SADF is not liable if you miss the recording slots. The Recording crew adheres to strict timelines
- Dancers are requested to comply with the requests from the Recording crew.
- SA Studios and/or Club Principals will be held responsible for the behavior of their students.
- SA Studio or Club Heads must ensure that dancers are dressed, at least 30 minutes before the running order.
3.1 Traditional Dance Only, live music will be available using microphones to enhance the sound of drums and singing; no electronic equipment will be allowed. Please bring own music to the accredited Studio
3.2 Belly Dance: One song per age division will be allocated after 31st January 2022 to afford the dancer to become familiar with the music and prepare accordingly.
3.3 ProAm Only. Multiple entries allowed with amateurs per professional.
4. International dancers or SA dancers unable to access an accredited Studio:
- Once entry has been confirmed, you will receive URL with login details to load your digital entry
- You are welcome to have your digital Entry recorded in a socially safe Studio / venue of your choice in your Country
- Recording guidelines are attached to ensure consistency of remote recordings. Kindly ensure that your digital submission is of good quality as you might not have the opportunity to resubmit the digital entry.
- Ballroom and Latin American music will be allocated to registered dancers after 31st January 2022.
5. All performances will be live streamed / relayed online the 24 – 27 February 2022 via Quicket Streaming Platform

11. ALL ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
